Golf Equipment, etc.
Essex Golf Shoppe, with a retail outlet in Old Saybrook, Connecticut (near Fenwick GC), sells a wide range of golf apparel and equipment. We just like that there's someplace to get Tracking stuff that isn't part of a chain.
ironfinder.com: A good place to look if you need to replace an old club or are looking for something that may be hard to find at a sporting goods chain.
If you make it a habit of firing multiple shots into water hazards and are too lazy to fish them out individually, this gadget from golftraders.net is for you!
Caddychicks.com: This was the reigning "link of the week" on the GT home page for about two months during 2007, so it must've had something going for it...and that something is T&A. It's a fairly clever marketing concept that helps (attractive) women network with people who can possibly help their careers, modeling or otherwise (although modeling seems to be a popular choice, based on the caddy profiles). While the stated objective is that "We want to make your golf game the best experience possible," that innuendo is tempered by advising readers, "Please remember we are not an online dating service or escort service." Hilarious!
Ran into these folks at the Golf Show at Javits Center in 2008. A good idea, kind of an e-Bay for golf stuff, but much like at the golf show, there's also a lot of crap (or at least there was; as of 2009, there doesn't seem to be any auction activity on the site).
